Members of Chambers undertake to prosecute and defend throughout the full gambit of regulatory law with particular experience in the following fields:

  • Financial Services Offences (Members of Chambers are recognised for their involvement in both the prosecution and defence of VAT / Inland Revenue and SFO matters. A strong team are also able to advise on all aspect of fraud with particular experience of banking and mortgage frauds both within a domestic and international jurisdiction (particularly the Cayman islands). This highly effective team are also best placed to utilise a long history of fraud, financial regulatory and money authority expertise in order to undertake or react too any pre-trial investigations and/or subsequent prosecutions undertaken by the FSA.)

  • Environmental law and Heath and Safety (Members of Chambers are able to provide both pre-charge advice through to a full trial service on both contentious and non-contentious matters. A strong and geographically mobile team that is able to undertake both prosecutions and or defend on behalf of public bodies, corporations and individuals.)

  • Office of Communications (Chambers has a strong history of prosecuting on behalf of the Office of Communications throughout the United Kingdom. In light of this background we are best placed to offer defence advice and effective representation to both professional and lay clients in relation to this unique and challenging field.)

  • Defamation and Contempt of Court Actions (Members of chambers have particular experience of this area of law with particular regard to pre-publication advice given to a variety of national newspapers.)

  • Aviation matters (Chambers undertakes briefs in CAA Prosecutions, aircraft accidents and parachuting cases)

  • Trade Descriptions (Members of Chambers that undertake this work are part of a highly experienced team that conducts both prosecution and defence work throughout the United Kingdom.)

  • Disciplinary and Enquiry work (Members of Chambers have a long and extensive history of appearing in disciplinary hearings with a strong background in sports tribunals and Olympic selections appeals. Chambers also undertakes enquiry work with Silks and leading Juniors well versed in this demanding area of the law.)
