Experience
Mr Cotter is a specialist in serious criminal matters and continues to attract plaudits from clients. Recent comments praise his “attention to detail” and the fact that “he keeps his promises” whilst also commenting upon his “highly personable manner”.
He has built a reputation as a highly effective and result driven trial advocate who both defends and prosecutes in his own right and as Junior Counsel on a wide gambit of criminal and quasi-criminal matters. The bulk of his practice centres on serious crime however over the last few years he has developed his interest and practice in regulatory matters and as such now offers a wide spectrum of legal services to those whom instruct him. In addition to this, he also has a professional interest in regulatory matters, having had experience of Health & Safety matters and Financial services regulation. He is a member of the Health & Safety Bar Association.
Mr Cotter’s practice experience ensures that he is well placed to advise in all areas of case preparation from both a defence and/or a prosecution point of view from initial investigation through to trial.
