Practice Peter both prosecutes and defends across the South Eastern Circuit.
He is regularly instructed in cases involving offences of serious
violence, sex, child cruelty, drugs and Serious Fraud. He was a
defence junior in a conspiracy to defraud the MOD which potentially
put at risk the lives and safety of service personnel. He also
prosecutes cases of causing death by dangerous driving and other
road traffic offences.
Peter, who was a Pharmacist for 10 years before coming to the
Bar, has a particular expertise in cases with a high scientific
or medical content.
Most recently Peter was prosecution junior
to Alastair Malcolm QC at the Central Criminal Court
in R v. Roberto Malasi.
Malasi was a 17 year old accused of the unrelated
murders of two women. He was convicted after trial of the “Christening shooting” and
pleaded guilty to the lethal stabbing of an 18 year old girl. The
defendant was sentenced to life imprisonment with the minimum term
set at 30 years.
