Background
Having qualified as a barrister in 1988 Will joined the renowned commercial law firm Olswang LLP, who at that time were best known for their innovative Media and Sports Law practice. He then embarked on a career in journalism and broadcasting, and for over a decade he was the senior sports feature writer at the Observer. His career in the media spanned presenting a prime time game show for Channel 4 to writing a spoof political column for the New Statesman. His novel “The Man who Hated Football” was published by Fourth Estate. Also a successful broadcaster, he regularly contributes to programmes as diverse as the Today programme and Fighting Talk.

Practice
He has now returned to the bar to establish a practice in Family and Sports Law. He is ideally placed to assist in Sports Law matters and has a fantastic list of contacts from his time in broadcasting and journalism. Will has a dual passion for family work, in particular Ancillary Relief, but is also adept at handling work involving children and contact/residence matters. Based in Norwich, he is available to undertake matters nationwide but has a particular interest in East Anglia.

Notable Cases

1992 “Guinness II”
Alongside George Devlin Will assisted Roger Seelig when he defended himself against twelve charges in the second Guinness trial. The case collapsed.
